Mindy McCready WIP

In my current Kick Ass obsession I have decided to draw comicized (is that even a word? most likely not!) versions of some of the character's from the movie. Mindy/Hit Girl being my favorite, is my first out of the few. This is a WIP of Mindy. I mainly scanned this up so I would have a copy of the pencil drawing, just in case I screw up in the inking process. I am practicing my comic book/manga style since My husband (Iain) & I both have ideas for comic books that we'd like to put to action asap. Next I will do Hit Girl, and then I will attempt to do Kick Ass. I'm not so great at drawing guys, but I have to practice! Btw this is my first successful comic book style of a younger girl! Yay! Sorry about the crappy water mark! I'd rather not have my artwork high jacked!

At some point when I get my new laptop I will do a colored version of this with my Wacom, as I need practice with that as well!

Go ahead and laugh...go on get it all out. Yes I drew a picture of the sparkly vampire man :P I really like this picture so I thought I'd give it a try. I really like the way it turned out too! It doesn't look as good because the scanner is not that great and hates me....same with the drawing of Brittany Murphy, they were scanned in the same way (same machine)...not the one I usually use. So I may try again and edit these when I get a chance.

I drew this a few days after I read the article of Brittany's death. This is dedicated in the memory of her, so I hope it resembles her! I like and don't like the way this turned out...I'm not exactly sure why....

Scarlet Johanson WIP

This is a WIP that I started in Photoshop, with again just the paint tool and blending tool. I started with my mouse and halfway through I practiced with my wacom. I was dissapointed when my computer decided to crash and I lost the actual file I was working on. I was able to recover these jpegs...I was taking screenshots every so often so I would have a decent WIP to go along with it. This image for a change was done in multiple layers. I only wish I could finish it! :(

If Only...

I made this wallpaper in the dedication to one of my favorite tv shows, that tragically was cut way to short...canceld because of low ratings! My two favorite character's, Ned & Chuck! Feel free to download it and use it for your desktop if you'd like! :)

Kate Beckinsale & Hugh Jackman

This drawing I really like, however it has been through so much that when I went to scan it onto the computer it just looks horrible. As you can tell from the finished drawing, there is to many spots where the light of the scanner reflected off the graphite. The WIP looks a lot better, except for the fact that it is of course not finished. I took a picture of it on my digital camera, so I may try that at some point. If you look closely, you can see a fold in the paper....well now there are multiple folds, so I'm sure that will effect the scanning if I try again :(
